Ramos looking forward to Bernabeu return

Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos is already looking forward to visiting Santiago Bernabeu once again with Sevilla for a La Liga fixture on Sunday as the defender reveals he will be happy to score but will not celebrate if he does score.

Sunday’s fixture will be the first time the defender will return to the old ground where he spent 16 years. The defender left the Spanish capital after winning five Champions Leagues and five La Liga titles during that time.

However, the return as an opposing player will be an emotional one, but Sergio Ramos still has a lot of respect for the Los Blancos, even though it doesn’t make him less desirous of a win for Sevilla.

“I have a lot of respect for the fans and for Real Madrid. If I score, I won’t celebrate, but if I’m lucky enough to score and that goal is enough to win, I’ll be delighted because those three points will come in very handy. I’m going to feel at home because I’ve spent many years there. The most important moments of my career are that I have wonderful memories of the fans and my teammates. It will be a unique and emotional moment. Real Madrid is the favourite every year to win everything. They are going through a good moment; they are leaders and have players of extraordinary quality. We know the stadium very well, and we’re going to try to play a good game there.” Ramos said.

Since leaving Real Madrid, Sergio Ramos has had opportunities to play against the club when he first went to Paris Saint-Germain. PSG and Real Madrid met in the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League in his first season in France, but an injury ruled him out of playing in the fixture at Bernabeu.

However, he has already played against Real Madrid this season in Andalusia in October when Carlo Ancelotti’s side drew 1-1.
