Last season’s MVP Nikola Jokic lauds Golden State Warriors talisman Stephen Curry for his fantastic efforts this season

Golden State Warriors talisman Stephen Curry has been in fiery red hot form this season. The Chef has created history with the Warriors, broken all-time records and so much so that the Warriors are looking like a genuine contender for this season. They still have James Wiseman and Klay Thompson on the locker room waiting to unleash and with the role players supporting Curry, Steve Kerr’s men are surely a top contender for the Championship this season.

It has been a treat watching Curry play this season and last season MVP Nikola Jokic was very impressed with the Chef as he feels that the Warriors guard is best in the business currently.

After a drab couple of seasons, Curry and the Warriors are delivering the promises made to their fans. They are coming after every team and taking them down. They currently hold a sensational record of 29-7 and are at the summit of the Western Conference.

While Curry has played like a MVP this season, players like Draymond Green, Gary Payton II, Jordan Poole Andre Iguodala and Andrew Wiggins have all played their part in their current success.

Curry’s style of play make him a fantastic player to watch. The way he moves, passes and steps back for the jumper, everything is so much on point. That is the reason why Denver Nuggets star and last season’s MVP, Nikola Jokic is also in Curry’s awe.

He stated that if someone did not like Curry then they probably don’t like basketball as a sport. Jokic said: “If you don’t like watching him play, you probably don’t like watching basketball as a sport altogether. He plays in such a lucid way I sometimes catch myself thinking, ‘Look at what this guy is doing’, but my god his shots just keep falling. He pulls up from such distances I feel like my shots wouldn’t even reach from that far away.”

Jokic is absolutely on cue with his praise for Curry but the bog man is also not far behind. The Nuggets centre has averaged more than the Chef this season. He has carried his form from last season and is putting up 25 points, 13.9 rebounds, 7 assists while shooting 56% from the field. So there is a tight competition for the MVP title as Jokic is surely a contender once again.
